After a short availability earlier this year, this cartography software collection has returned for a limited time available through early December. Hailed as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by ProFantasy Software over the years, the entire collection carries a value of over $1,300. Additionally, there exist three different bundles available here.
The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, a professional-grade mapping application which enables users to generate various types including epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.
An imaginative landscape chart generated in the CC3+ software platform.
The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits existing CC3+ users, yet it provides fresh fantasy design elements for landscape mapping, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.
The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages suitable for novices and experts, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.
For a minimum of $30, the comprehensive package includes all the following:
Every volume of Cartographer's Annual are included here, plus numerous additional tools and content that can help users craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, underground complexes, urban centers, and continents in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle is so worth it, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly more advantageous for map-making newbies considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The sole limitation though the purchase is available across platforms, the software is only usable with Windows systems.
As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. Package customization options is toward the top of the page, though users may also choose any amount for a donation on the right side of the page. There's also an "Adjust Donation" drop-down immediately below, allowing you to adjust how much of your donation goes to Humble, Profantasy, and Save the Children.
